This year marks film icon Marilyn Monroe’s 100th birthday. It was my pleasure to first exhibit Douglas Kirkland’s photographs at Govinda Gallery. Douglas introduced me to Graham Nash who established the first atelier for fine art pigment prints. It was my great honor to publish the first job at Nash Editions: a portfolio of Kirkland’s legendary session with Marilyn Monroe from 1961. Govinda Gallery published a portfolio of six prints in 1992 commemorating the thirtieth anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death.
Enjoy these beautiful images of Monroe by Kirkland. Just a few portfolios from the edition remain available for collectors.
