Publisher’s Weekly, Bruce Springsteen, and David Gahr

by Chris Murray on November 27, 2018

I was so pleased Publisher’s Weekly selected Bruce Springsteen: From Asbury Park, to Born to Run, to Born in the USA as a selection for their Holiday Gift Guide 2018. That book features for the first time David Gahr’s photographs of Springsteen and the E Street Band and is edited by Govinda Gallery’s Chris Murray. Publisher’s Weekly calls the book, “An unprecedented look at a very young Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.”

“The beauty of Bruce is that he is inspired by the great American musical forms of folk, blues, country, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll. Like Elvis and Dylan, whose artistry he admires so much, Springsteen synthesized these genres in his own style in his music, and of his own time. His artistry is not a casual thing.”                                                                                                                     From the introduction by Chris Murray.

Bruce Springsteen: From Asbury Park, to Born to Run, to Born in the USA is available at bookstores everywhere, and through Amazon.

We meet a few year back in NY when I was visiting with Caroline Clements. I just spoke with her the other day about the new Stones tour. She’s presently working with Patti Lupone in London. I’m not familiar with Publisher’s Weekly. The Bruce Springsteen cover & photo’s are probably something I’d like to purchase for my Rock n Roll collection. How or where do I get it? By the way congrats on your involvement with the project. Thank you for keeping me on the Constant Contact list. Your e-mails are always read & shared with my friends.
