Glen Friedman’s Burning Flags Tour at the Woody Guthrie Center!

Glen Friedman’s Burning Flags Tour  exhibition has its first stop in America at the amazing Woody Guthrie Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It was my great pleasure to introduce Glen to  Woody Guthrie Center Director Cady Shaw and to Mark Davidson, Senior Director of the Bob Dylan archives. The exhibition opens on September 19th. Glen’s exhibition will be a remarkable one and both the Woody Guthrie Center, and The Bob Dylan Center next door,  make a visit to Tulsa well worthwhile. The Kaiser Family Foundation has done a extrordinary job creating the American Song Archives, and establishing both centers.

I was my great pleasure to organize Glen Friedman’s first exhibition at Govinda Gallery in 2000. Here is a terrific vintage video interview with Glen, Ian MacKaye, Eric Brace and myself, at that exhibition opening. Also included is the Woody Guthrie Center press release for Friedman’s exhibition.
