Cofan Shaman, Conejo, Rio Sucumbios
April 1942

The Cofan exploited the common species of Chondrodendron and Strychnos, but augmented their repertoire with dozens of plants that only they employed. The result was botanical wizardry, complex combinations that brought together ingredients gathered both locally and from afar. Trade routes reaching for hundreds of miles existed purely for the delivery of admixtures for the poisons. The actual formulas were secret, and the preparation of the poisons enveloped in ritual.
