During Donovan’s recording sessions in Jamaica while making his tribute album to Harry Belafonte, Jump in the Line, Prince Michael of Kent stopped by Zak Starkey’s studio in Ocho Rios. It was a great pleasure to have Prince Michael visit with his friend, Caroline St. George. The Prince happens to be a great fan of Harry Belafonte and ended up playing maracas on the title track “Jump in the Line”!

Harry Belafonte sent Donovan a note after having the first listen to the new album and thanked Donovan for the tribute. He wrote to Donovan that “by your presence, the future is in good hands”, referring to Belafonte’s own legacy.
