Cerphe, The Childe Harold, and Bruce Springsteen

by Chris Murray on February 20, 2019

Invitation to tomorrow evening’s event at Dive.

In the spring of 1973 Bruce Springsteen performed for three nights at The Childe Harold at DuPont Circle in Washington D.C. The contract for those shows is framed and hanging at DIVE, the New Rock & Roll bar in the basement of the fab Italian Restaurant Darlington House, in the very same building as The Childe Harold, and where Bruce Springsteen Band, The Ramones, Bonnie Raitt, Bad Brains, Sun Ra, Mike Bloomfield and so many others performed. Cerphe was there for all of it and is appearing there at Dive tomorrow evening to sign his memoir Cerphe’s Up and to talk about his life in music. Admission is free.
