“Marley’s Magic” at Wilkes University’s Sordoni Art Gallery Soul Rebel Exhibition

by Chris Murray on December 2, 2010

David Burnett’s Soul Rebel exhibition has been a big hit at Wilkes University’s Sordoni Art Gallery in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. David Burnett attended the packed opening on October 22nd and signed copies of his book Soul Rebel. The following week Soul Rebel editor and curator Chris Murray spoke at Wilkes University and presented a slide show of Burnett’s photographs to a group of students and teachers. Gallery director Brittany Kramer commented that Soul Rebel was the most attended exhibition at the Sordoni Art Gallery. Kramer, by the way, is expected to be on hand at Chris Blackwell’s book signing at Govinda Gallery December 10th for Keep On Running: The Story of Island Records. The Soul Rebel exhibition was featured in the Times Tribune, The Weekender and other media in the region. Soul Rebel continues at the Sordoni through December 12th, 2010. We are delighted to share with you these installation photos from the exhibition as well as a short video made by photographer David Burnett at the Soul Rebel opening reception.
